Hiatus!

Hi doggins. We're all moved in and getting settled, but we don't have internet access. We'll be taking an involuntary mini blogging hiatus and will update just as soon as we're back online, hopefully sometime next week.

In the meantime you can pee-mail us at suki.sumo @ yahoo.com!

Smell ya later,

Suki Sumo & Mojo Risin'

Hope your home isn't getting raided by SWAT teams because you've publicly barked your support for Obama...

Hey Suki--

The search warrants have specified to search for incendiary devices and feces and urine (which is a pretty odd thing to put on a warrant and is actually based on an urban legend about anarchists). But--they have found items that are perfectly legal to possess and have tenuous evidence at best of an actual conspiracy. Pre-emptive arrests are *not* legal. And the groups--one of the political groups monitored was a vegan group. They arrested a member of the National Lawyers Guild who was an observer.

My ma ape was in Seattle during the WTO protests and was pepper sprayed while involved ina completely peaceful protest that devolved into chaos once they brought out the riot gear and pepper spray. There was--at most--a handful of violent protests (maybe a dozen) and the city got shut down. The "anarchists" stories have been used since then to pre-emptively arrest, detain, or segregate legitimate protestors. It's really troubling and I'm worried!

Hey Suki! One of my ma ape's friends in the Twin Cities say that there are a lot of people worried that not as many of the GOP are coming (because of the storm) which would be bad economically (if good karmically!). So I hope things go well, maybe they will be glad they drew all those protestors. :)

I think your peeps will be fine if they go to protest.

One of the reasons the "urine" rumors got started is that some protestors carry (or used to carry) jars of vinegar because it can mitigate the effects of tear gas. Hee!

Stay safe, Suki Sumo and Mojo Rising (and your parents).
